What people say?

  •   I don't even know where to start. The place is just incredible!!!! From the moment you step in you feel absorbed by this warm home-like ambience they've created. The design in the interior is spectacular, from the decoration to the lights, to the set up of the tables and the music everything just syncs up perfectly.

The food was so so so delicious!!! We ordered the tequeños with Gouda cheese and they were so good I can finally say I've found the best tequeños in miami you can try!!

I ordered the bacon wrapped chicken breast roulade and my wife ordered the churrasco steak sandwich. Well, they were both extremely well cooked and super delicious, the portions are big and the plates and they way they are served are beautiful. Really they put details into everything I swear. The sangria was also extremely great.

For dessert we had the chocolate mousse and hot chocolate to drink........ wow...... just please go try them.... that's all I have to say!!!

The service was so great!!! Everybody was happy, they were super attentive and on point all the time. Overall I will just say, we need more places like this one in miami, I will definitely go back and recommend it to everyone.

  •   Total hidden Gem! We visited Despensa today with another couple & everything was absolutely delicious! Ale was our waiter & he was very knowledgeable explaining the menu to us & had great recommendations! We ordered the jibarito as one of our appetizers, arañita tostones with ropa vieja & shrimp with tostones & they were very good! As our main dish we ordered the seafood paella with Orzo pasta instead of rice & it was so delicious! For dessert we ordered the churros & they were so good! We highly recommend this restaurant!

  •   Visited on a recommendation from my Dad and Brother.  Ordered the following:

    Appetizer:
    Crunchy Dumplings

    Entree:
    Ropa Vieja
    White Rice
    Black Beans
    Sweet Plantains

The appetizer was ice cold and looked more like a fried wonton.  The ropa vieja was good but the black beans were super salty.  The decor is nice and service was ok.  Out of all their entrees, the ropa vieja is the most reasonable.  My wife ordered the Picahna Steak and it wasn't that good, meat was ok but the chorizo that's drizzled over it is on the salty side.  Was hoping it would be a hit but unfortunately, I won't be going back.

  •   I was excited to try this restaurant, due to the fact that many family members rave about it. I ordered the Fried dumplings first, SUPER cold. Next for my entree I ordered the Picanha with crispy potatoes and veggies. The meat I ordered medium, it was not. The potato's were not crispy seems like they were baked and had a TON of salt. The veggies were mediocre.  The service was no big deal either. I tried this restaurant when it was called Frenchies, and I asked the server and he said it was still the same owner, just a refreshed and remodeled restaurant. The decor was super cute...it's a shame the food was such a disappointment. The Chef didn't even bother to talk to us, and ask us personally how our experience was. I won't be back.
